Dec 2, 2001 · I looking for any information on PWA (Pac-West Arms) hailing out of Milan, IL . They manufactor, or atleast did, AR15 rifles but I have been hitting dead end after dead end trying to get some background on them. There is a possibility they were bought out by Pheonix Arms but that is as of yet unsubstantiated. Can anybody help? Thanks.

May 24, 2005 · Back in the 80's PWA, SGW (Olympic Arms), Sendra (Part of the Drasen - Nesard operation), and Essential arms were about the only receivers you could buy. DPMS did not exist. Bushmaster was just a little company with a semiauto called the Bushmaster that did not have a very good reputation. My first AR-15 was built on a SGW lower.

Dec 9, 2012 · PWA, was Pac West Arms, not Pacific West Arms. Been out of business for a while. They only sold complete lowers and stripped lowers, not complete guns. The lower receivers were made by LMT and were of good quality. In fact of far better quality than DPMS as someone above suggested as a better quality choice.

Jan 14, 2025 · UPDATE 1/29/24! My distributor got back to me today, they are confirmed out of business 12/31/24. There is no more speculation, they are gone. So, yeah. Their website has been down since 2025 began, basically...all links are dead. Phones during business hours go direct to an automated message...
