Pau Casals i Defilló[1][2] (Catalan: [ˈpaw kəˈzalz i ðəfiˈʎo]; 29 December 1876 – 22 October 1973), known in English as Pablo Casals, [3][4][5][6] was a Spanish and Puerto Rican cellist, composer, and conductor.
