Pramathesh Chandra, shortly called P.C. Barua was a famous film maker and actor of Assam in the pre-independent era. He has been one of the earliest figures of Indian cinema who immortalized Sarat Chandra Chattopadhyay’s masterpiece work, Devdas through Indian celluloid.
