Feb 16, 2023 · My P72 sporter which is the first set of pictures I posted, is SN 7045xx. My P72 target which is the 2nd set of pictures (the self contained trigger unit) is SN 7063xx So a couple thousand difference. Would be interesting to know where yours falls into the SN range.

Apr 13, 2024 · I own Sako .22 LR's in P54, P72, and P94. All shoot similarly tight groups and all are the most accurate of any .22's I've ever owned, including Ruger, Remington, Marlin, and Kimber (of Oregon). All of those other makes shot well, but not to compare to the Sakos. I do have a couple of German-made Kricos which give the Sakos a run for their money.

Nov 12, 2018 · I just bought a P72 .22 Mag. I have only ever seen two for sale in Australia in 20 years The owner really played hard ball with the price and would not budge an inch. I ended up paying $1500 Au for it. It came with two magazines. It has open sites on it though the rear williams is missing the blade.

Mar 16, 2024 · Local FFL called me from gun show about a 1973 P72. I bought it for $1300 having seen a few photos and his description of the rifle. It's my fourth SAKO, all three others are 223s. I don't believe I paid too much... Here is a picture:
