Apr 18, 2023 · After observing the preparations for the Maundy Thursday Blessed Sacrament procession, we wandered the streets of Old Gapan. The ancestral home of Eula Valdez' great grandparents is this corner house. Gapan was formerly a town founded by the Augustinians sometime around 1595, thus making it the oldest town in Nueva Ecija.

This heritage features cobbled streets, vintage lamp posts, the old town hall of Gapan, and rows of well-preserved ancestral houses built during the Spanish and American colonial periods in the Philippines.

Jul 20, 2015 · From the baroque façade of Gapan’s church, one can clearly see that this is a structure worthy to be called a cultural treasure, although no such plaque bequeaths its walls. Aug 26, 2018 · The Gapan Old Casa Municipal is currently being restored by the National Historical Commission of the Philippines (NHCP) and I’m hoping to visit it again once it is opened to the public.
