Feb 7, 2017 · Australia unveiled paintings by the local Ngadjuri and Nukunu people featured on two wind towers. Spanning the base of the towers, the paintings were commissioned to tell the story of the land and connection it has to the indigenous people of the region. The artist for Nukunu people was Jessica Turner and the artists for Ngadjuri people

The Ngadjuri used stone carvings (with examples at Firewood Creek or Kooringa, northeast of Burra), body art and other forms to express their culture and beliefs. Parallel lines were a common theme, along with hand prints, ana kangaroo and emu footprints.

The Ngadjuri story about the eagle and the crow is a part of Quentin's guided tours of the area. I really aimed to knit the genuine history of the area into the painting, rather than a generic take on rural life, I wanted to go DEEP into what makes Eudunda, Eudunda.
