This document provides cabling configuration instructions for the NEC SL2100 phone system. It describes how to connect extension cables to ports on the 308U unit and configure up to 6 door phones. It also explains how to connect CO trunk cables and a door opener relay cable.

NEC Quick Install cables allow for easier installation with six RJ61 modular plugs on a 25-pair cable. The figure on the next page shows the industry standard 25-pair color code and each modular plug pin out.

Be sure to use cables designated by NEC or cables attached to the equipment. If cables are not designated particularly, choose cables with considering safety and transmission performance carefully. Ask the dealer or your local agency if needed.
