An nbn Hybrid Fibre Coaxial (HFC) connection is used in circumstances where the existing ‘pay TV’ or cable network can be used to make the final part of the nbn network connection. In this circumstance an HFC line will be run from the nearest available fibre node, to your premises.

Jan 28, 2022 · The map will show areas that are different shades of brown. This will help you figure out weather you have newer high speed NBN or older Telstra/Foxtel sub-100MBit HFC. Some are in between which I find interesting. Must be a NSW/Vic thing. There’s little in the way of high speed HFC in my capital city - I hope yours is better.
