Sep 29, 2020 · The issue I have is if I provide 5.2V from my PSU it works as expected. Get a nice stable 12V out. If however I power from USB, or drop the voltage to 5.1V the output drops to 5V. Pulling my hair out. Swapped out the MT3608, same issue. Does anyone have any experience with these chips and has had similar issues?

Dec 14, 2019 · However, the powerbank wont stay turned on and if I connect the micro USB cable from the powerbank to the step up module, there is a weird buzzing/high pitch noise. If I'm using a different powerbank there are no problems at all. The powerbank is rated for an output of 1 Amp.

Feb 6, 2019 · Based on the MT3608 datasheet (link below), the switching frequency is 1.2MHz, which is above the audible range, but I'm still hearing some noise. Any suggestions on how I can get rid of it?

Jul 6, 2022 · when there is load (i used a load resistor), output voltage drops to 5v and the circuit makes buzzing noise. The whole circuit board is huge, i am just adding picture of the mt3608 circuit board. any help is appreciated.

May 11, 2021 · Yeah just get a little boost - MT3608 is another nice option - and put an LC on the output, but use a ferrite bead for the inductor. Note that the PCB layout for high frequency switchmode converters is critical, and if you do it well it'll be reasonably low noise already.

May 3, 2021 · I got a pair of MT3608 boost converters a while back and I decided to give them a test to see if they can work. I initially tied the positive and negative wires of a 9v snap connector and tested my 9v with my multimeter (finally figured out how to correctly use that!) and it showed the regular voltage.

Sep 9, 2017 · Since USB only delivers 5V I used a small step-up module (based on MT3608) to step up the voltage to the desired 6V. The radio powers up but it can't detect any radio station. I guess stepping up the voltage induces some high frequency noise …

Apr 8, 2024 · if I decrease it from 255 to 0 the motor around 120-130 stops and makes even a kind of noise, like a pitch. That is normal when you control the speed of a motor with PWM.

Jan 10, 2024 · For the power supply, I have three parallel Li-ion-batteries (around 4.2V when fully charged), with a MT3608 boost converter converting the voltage to 24V which directly goes to the Vmot pin of the DRV8825-driver. Problem is the following: the stepper doesn't run smoothly, it changes direction and runs pretty random.
