The Scholar Designation on a high school diploma is meant to indicate that the student has taken college preparatory classes. The Scholar Designation is awarded to students who pass all EOCs and take extra classes such as Algebra II, Statistics, Chemistry, Physics, 2 credits in the same foreign language, and an AP, IB, AICE, or DE course.
