I am an Assistant Professor of Economics at Bocconi University. I am a Research Affiliate at CEPR and an Affiliate at IGIER. During the 2025-2026 academic year, I will be on sabbatical leave visiting Stanford as a SIEPR Visiting Assistant Professor. My research examines long-run macroeconomic trends in growth and inequality.

Marta Prato - Research
To answer this question, I build a novel two-country innovation-led endogenous growth model, where heterogeneous inventors produce innovations, learn from others, and make dynamic migration and return decisions. Migrants interact with individuals at origin and destination, diffusing knowledge within and across countries.
