Aug 16, 2014 · run car with coolant reservoir cap off for about 30 minutes. let it get hot. then remove top hose get a fitting that will fit into that hose followed by another hose at the other end. then watch your old fluid come out from the hose and fill as level drops down. obviously dont let it get empty, fill as it drops basically. hope this helps.

Jan 10, 2020 · it was probably originally the cam adjuster oring leaking. i just replaced the seals on my wifes tiguan because of same problem. also discovered the check valve in the pcv was toast which was pushing all the oil out of the timing cover under boost. you can take the pcv hose off the intake side and blow into it. if it doesn't immediately engage the check valve pcv is done …
