Maluaka Beach is a fantastic place to snorkel, with excellent coral formations, vibrant tropical fish, and a plethora of turtles. Expect to see a snorkel-boat moored off the beach, offloading paying guests to dive into the same location where you can dive for free.

Shady, sandy and safe for the kids - Maluaka seems like the ideal Maui beach. This beach fronts the Maui Prince Hotel off Makena Road in South Maui. At the south end of the beach, there is excellent snorkeling, and good diving a bit further out.

Jun 13, 2022 · Snorkeling is a popular activity for Maluaka beach goers. The water’s sandy bottom makes entry into the ocean fairly easy. The beach’s calm blue waters, nearby reef, and the area’s resident sea turtles attract snorkelers from around Maui.

Located not far from the resorts and condominiums of Wailea and Makena, Maluaka Beach is a public beach popular with both tourists and locals. My wife and I visited here during mid-October 2024. To drive to the beach from the Makena, Wailea or Kihei area, go south on Makena Alanui Drive, past the Makena Beach & Golf Resort.

Maluaka Beach provides stunning panoramic views of nearby Molokini Crater and Kahoolawe Island. Long before Western influence reached the islands, Maluaka Beach was a favored retreat for Hawaiian chiefs and nobility.
