May 19, 2017 · Compiling an "all-time" roster for most railroads, especially large railroads that began in the 19th century, is very difficult. For many railroads, such as the New York Central, its nearly impossible to accurately list EVERY locomotive ever owned by the company.

Work soon began to get #2024 ready for its big mainline show, re-lettering and re-numbering #2024 to #3632. This was done so that the locomotive would resemble several SCL SD45s that were traded to the Clinchfield for U36Cs. #3632 wouldn’t be the only star of the show, however.

Anyone know of a good MRL roster showing the history of each unit? google for MRL and select the Tim Harris site for your info. Here, you go... This list was compiled by a number of folks over at Trains Magazine Forum, me included, but the bulk of the digging & research was done by member nanaimo73. I AM ONLY TYPING THIS ONCE.
