Minnesota is located on the north central part of the United States, being borderd by Canada on the north. It has a coast on Lake Superior in the northeast, and has numerous smaller inland lakes, the largest of those are Mille Lacs Lake, Leech Lake, Lower Red Lake, Upper Red Lake and Lake of the Woods.

NOTE: There are actually three “Eagle Mountains” in Minnesota. One is located by Lutsen, MN (elev. 1657 ft); a second is located 20 mi NW of Grand Marais, MN (elev. 2297 ft), and the third is located 40 miles NW of St. Cloud (elev. 1460 ft).
