Mar 24, 2024 · It can only be done at a VW dealer. There will be a delay of perhaps one or two weeks after the dealer orders the new key from VW. The new key has to be custom-cut (referring to the little 'emergency key' bit that can be removed from the fob) and then shipped to the dealer.

But there is one fault, one glaring issue so minuscule but so annoying it makes me want to kick the shit out of whoever moronic designer had the bright idea to make a key fob where the highest button on the face of the fob IS THE PANIC BUTTON.
