I would get one again if I had a need for it. Thing is the "C" model may be as old as 25 years back. I believe they're up to an "E" now. I wouldn't have paid over $50 for a C.

Jun 17, 2012 · Klondike Mike has a good deal on an older version of the MFJ-949E. The Dentrons are nice if you can find one. I have a 949e and I think it's a rock solid manual tuner. I would suggest a newer version because the power meter is updated with a cross needle type and needs no pre-calibration.
