Limpets will typically not reproduce to any significant number in the aquarium, and physical removal is usually a sufficient control for the SPS coral aquarist.

Jul 17, 2019 · I had a black keyhole limpet that came as a hitch hiker and was ok for a while then I started noticing a decline in montiporas and my birdsnest colony then one day I found him eating away at it so I removed him and everything is now starting to recover. after a little research I found some take a liking to sps. so proceed with caution if you are going to add them.

Jan 27, 2020 · As long as there's sufficient food in the tank for your turbo snail, the hitchhiker is not hurting your snail at all. I'm not sure if it's a slipper limpet, a hoof snail, or something similar, but either way, it's a sessile snail that basically hitches a ride and eats whatever it can where the turbo snail takes it.
