It also utilizes some pretty exotic parts, such as titanium intake valves and stainless steel exhaust valves with sodium-filled stems, which are designed to help dissipate heat.

The mighty powerplant earned its fair share of fans before becoming available in crate engine form, too.

The engine has a “dry sump” oil delivery system, whose purpose is to make sure the Vette engine is properly lubricated at high acceleration.
