Ej207 could not have possibly weighed 300lbs, here's a fully dressed 2017 STI long block with all of the accessories required to make at least 300 horsepower including an external wastegate, alternator and just for fun an AC compressor. Power steering pump was not included.

Jan 9, 2016 · Are there adapter plates that allows me to match the 6 speed to an american motor like a ls3? I know I can get that power out of a subaru but just would like the ls3. Thanks, Adam

Oct 7, 2015 · My buddy at the subaru dealership said its gonna be a twin turbo LS3. They would have to be crazy to have a better motor in a wrx than their prized sti for a long time. It likely won't be a 2.5L. The JDM STI is still running an EJ20 (with more boost). I wouldn't be surprised that the STI would get a FA20DIT with more boost.
