The Reference Series RP-3 powered tower was first introduced in 1999 and manufactured by Klipsch until 2001. While no longer in production RP-3 speakers are still owned and listened to by Klipsch fans around the world.

In 2-channel stereo or surround sound mode the Klipsch Reference RP-3, RC-3 and RS-3's delivered clear mids, highs, and solid bass. The sound was flat and like the fit and finish, solid. Oh the finish? They are knuckle bruising, solid black finished. Built like a brick wall speakers. They also sport the very cool gold woofers!!

Nov 26, 2014 · Are the RP-3's and RP-5's the only two speakers Kipsch made with built in subs? Also, how do the RP-3's compare to the RP-5's?! Any and all input would be awesome! There are Synergy/pre-reference lines that have powered subs built in, such as the KSP-400's and such. The RP-5's are the better of the two.

Jan 31, 2003 · I just bought a pair of RP3 Speakers, they are the floor from an authorized dealer. I am trying to figure out the best way to hook them up, and when I connect the subwoofer section using the Line AND the LFE, there is an audible hum from the subwoofer.

To reduce the risk of electric shock and fire, do not remove the cover or back plate of this device. There are no user-serviceable parts inside. Refer repairs to a Klipsch authorized service center.

Oct 12, 2013 · hi all i just traded a onkyo a9555 intergrated amplifier for a pair of klipsch rp3's plus 50 bucks on top. I have no experience of this kind of speaker with a powered subwoofer in it.
