Giyu Tomioka (冨 (とみ) 岡 (おか) 義 (ぎ) 勇 (ゆう) Tomioka Giyū?) is a major supporting character of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba. He is a Demon Slayer of the Demon Slayer Corps and the Water Hashira (水 (みず) 柱 (ばしら) Mizu Bashira?) of the Taisho era. [5]

After she had her child she named him giyuu, she loves him very much. She goes along with her best friend zenitsu and inosuke. They support her on her decision and help her along her journey.

Giyu attempts to protect Tanjiro from his demonized sister, Nezuko, and is taken aback when Tanjiro defends her. Recognizing Tanjiro's potential after a close encounter, Giyu refers him to his master, Sakonji Urokodaki, for training.
