Nov 18, 2011 · KTM has a super reliable engine in the LC8. Change the oil (Motorex) and filters (KTM) when called for by the manuel. You will not need the valves shimmed until 60,000 (plus) miles. The piston rings will go 150,000 (plus) miles. Take good care of this engine and it will really last a very long time.
