Dec 16, 2006 · I am tossing up between the M-audio BX8 and the KRK Rockit Rp-8. I know alot about the M-audio BX8s as my friend has a pair. What I can gather is they have a slightly brighter sound however other than that they are pretty good for the price.

Mar 21, 2010 · I had the KRK RP8's and later the M-Audio BX5's. The quality of the KRK's was better in many ways than the M-Audio's and I don't think it was all due to the difference in size. If you will use a subwoofer, I wouldn't suggest getting an 8-inch monitor.

Oct 21, 2021 · So, sale aside, Based upon specs, I would lean towards the KRK due to the fine tuning capability with the app, as they are pretty close everywhere else. As for audio enjoyment, anyone here use them and can comment on quality, listening, etc?

Jul 31, 2008 · My Brother bought the KRK RP8's, then found the M-Audio BX8(I donno what model exactly) on eBay. He got rid of the KRK's. The BX8's sound wayyyyy bigger, but also much muddier.

Feb 6, 2008 · I highly recommend the KRK's over the M-Audio. I've used the Rockit 8's for over a year and they sounded very flat with very little coloring. They are also very tough.
