The Gold (Plumbing Supervisor) JIB card is intended for highly experienced and well-trained plumbing (and related fields) experts who routinely supervise others on the worksite, and have the advanced HS&E training they need to do this safely.

What is a Blue (Plumber) JIB Card? The Blue (Plumber) JIB card is intended for fully qualified operatives who have the training, Health and Safety classes and experience necessary to work as a plumber on a construction site or other carded area.

What is a Gold (Plumber) JIB Card? The Gold (Plumber) JIB card is intended for fully qualified operatives who with advanced plumbing skills, and certifies that they have had the extensive technical and health and safety training necessary to work without supervision.

The Gold (Mechanical Pipe Fitter) JIB card is intended for fully qualified pipefitters who have the training, experience and advanced Health and Safety certifications necessary to work on a construction site or other carded area without supervision.

The Gold (Gas Service Engineer) JIB card is intended for fully qualified operatives who with advanced gas fitting skills, and certifies that they have had the extensive technical and health and safety training necessary to work without supervision.

The Green General operative (Labourer) JIB card is intended for plumbing operatives of a basic, general type. They will usually be employees, who are labourers, mates or general operatives. A Green JIB Card grants access to carded areas of a worksite to these plumbing labourers.

You’ll see the acronym JIB appearing on a few cards affiliated to CSCS. JIB stands for Joint Industry Board and denotes that the issuing body responsible for the card in question is recognised by other industry competence measures, including CSCS.

A White JIB Card grants access to carded areas of a worksite to these plumbing and gas-fitting related workers, and ensures that anyone working with gas on site has the safety training necessary to do so safely.
