Aug 29, 2024 · With GT3, you can run the car in ITB spec, but the problem is the run group you would most likely be in. GT3 usually runs with GT1, which is the amateur version of the SCCA Trans-Am Pro series. 800+ hp tube frame cars weighing 2700lbs come up on you very quickly when in a fully prepared GT3 car, let alone an ITB car.

Feb 5, 2011 · One of reasons you don't see ITB on more production cars is that you give away a free source of vacuum. The whole engine tuning, PCM tuning, etc- can all be overcome. Heck, even MS does a good job with the blend between throttle and pressure maps. There are a lot of things that use vacuum to operate, so it's hard to give it away.

I did not run them into a can or a fuel filter or anything because I always had a very good MAP signal. I've never run ITB mode which I'm going to assume is a combination between SD and Alpha-N.

Also from my limited knowledge of how motorcycle engines are tuned the air box volume (this is on the outside of the throttle plate) is essential as well.
