ISO VG 460 oil has a midpoint kinematic viscosity of 460 cSt (centistokes). The midpoint is derived by taking the average of both the minimum and maximum kinematic viscosities which is accounted for by the AGMA designation.

The result is known as the International Standards Organisation Viscosity Grade - ISO VG. This classification applies mainly for use with industrial lubrication. The viscosity of each grade ranges ± 10 % from the mid-point.
