Feb 20, 2008 · I have a holley 4779 750 dbl pump that i'm in need of some help with. I bought the carb used, put a rebuild kit in it and bolted it on. The carb has always ran fine, idles about 900 rpm with a nice size cam, and runs down the road just fine. Only issue ive ever really had is the rich idle which many seem to have.

Feb 26, 2014 · The Secondary Venturi Diameter of the 4779 is 1 3/8" the Secondary Venturi Diameter of the 4780 is 1 7/16" everything else is essentially the same with minor changes in jetting from one variation to another such as 4779-3, 4779-4, 4779-5, etc.
