The treble voice on Hydrive also different than Rumble. Rumble need the horn for treble voice support, when increase the Treble, i just get sharp sounding treble voice along with some hiss.

Nov 30, 2008 · I've read a few threads re the light combos - Blackstar, GK, Rumble, Hartke. Without trying any of the others, I bought the Hartke HD500 a few weeks ago, got a great deal off Craigs from a studio guy who didn't realize it didn't have an extension speaker out - got it like-new for $450 (and I can install a speaker jack in my sleep if needed).

Nov 26, 2008 · I own a Hartke KB12, KB15 and a HD500, I obviously like Hartke combo amps. A few nights ago at rehearsal with a new very loud drummer I was using my recently purchased HD500. When I put the volume up to around 11 o’clock I was getting really bad clipping/farting out on my low B and E strings.

Jan 29, 2017 · The HD500 did great on the gig last night. We played on a medium sized stage in a casino with PA support. It was a Steely Dan cover band, with 3 vocals, 4 horns, guitar, keys, drums playing moderately loud.

Nov 26, 2008 · Hartke not including the option to add an extension cab is just a total mystery and I know for a fact it’s hurt the sales of the HD500. I actually returned my HD500 because I needed the ability to add an extension cab to compete with the loud rock cover bands I gig with.

May 11, 2008 · Both HD500 and KB15 has same amp section, 70hz , 700 hz , 5 khz along with shape knob able give you more flexible on tone shape without EQ pedal. RB just Ampeg tone stack. High frequency much more notable and well present on HD even has no Horn tweeter, shine on both slap and aggressive pick tone.Thanks to Larry's Hydrive driver design.

Mar 20, 2021 · The HD500's input gain is fixed (not even a passive/active switch) and is pre-eq and pre-volume. The shape control has no effect when flat, or can flatten or thin the sound. It can simply be bypassed and go unused, or its utility on stage can be to control boominess and/or dial in feel under IEMs.
