HMS Forte was an Astraea-class cruiser of the Royal Navy launched on 9 December 1893. [2] She was constructed under the Naval Defence Act of 1889 along with several other Astraea-class cruisers. [3] Forte was eventually decommissioned in 1913.

HMS Forte may refer to more than one ship of the British Royal Navy: HMS Forte (1794), a French Navy 42-gun frigate launched in 1794, captured by the Royal Navy in 1799, and wrecked in 1801. HMS Forte, a 5th rate ordered in 1801 but subsequently canceled.

At HMS Forte IV Motor Torpedo Boats, Motor Gunboats and Motor Launches assembled for Operation Chariot, the raid on the St Nazaire Docks in March 1942.
