The "HK51B" is a name given to a series of conversions given to HK G3A4, or other carbine-length converted models, into a belt-fed configuration. They are typically only procured in the United States. Despite fitting the HK nomenclature, is not manufactured nor endorsed by HK.

No quick change barrel, so just using a G3/PTR/91 trunnion and a 51 barrel. Will that play nice with the feed mech and bolt head from the 21? Mar 30, 2016 · Basically, the HK51K is a super compact 7.62. They made those, the regular HK51 and they made the HK51B, which was a beltfed model. I believe PCS still makes these types of guns (check their website under Dragons). Here's the HK51B.

Sep 16, 2015 · Michael's Machines - to my knowledge Mike doesn't make a true 51B (though he may) but has some pretty short K-type offerings. RDTS, Ralph and his son builds that kinda of gear. RDTS and TSC do build them. But RDTS's gun is 9" barrel not 8" and is called a HK21K-UBF. TSC builds 4 diffrent versions.

Apr 14, 2024 · HK21/21E/MG3/51B all use M13 links when run in 7.62x51 (unless the gun it setup for belts which requires different feed mech parts). FWIW. I've never seen a 51B setup for belts. You can try opening the links a bit, but my guess is that you have a weak recoil spring. 3 weeks later... Matt, quick question.

Apr 14, 2024 · I was out with a buddy today shooting a Vollmer hk51b. We were able to get it to run for short bursts. It seems like it would constantly have issues with the first few rounds of the belt but then run the remaining 12 or 15 just fine. The gun seemed to run better when I lofted the belt and took the weight off.
