Dec 30, 2017 · Like here we see two examples of a M1943 HBT fatique shirt worn well into the 50s, with the M1943 shirt, they just didn't wear the M1943 Cargo pocket pants anymore, just the M1947 HBT pants, which were the same design as the 1st pattern cotton sateen pants.

Dec 18, 2013 · OD HBTs thoughout both the MTO and ETO were most common, take way after Normandy and the U.S. pushed foward, HBT shirts could be found or were worn underneath field jackets, M41 and M43, the M43 pants could be seen being worn over the wool pants, all this being done for extra warmth as the weather started getting colder.

Feb 16, 2013 · The choice of pleats and buttons were optional for the mfg's. There are 3 main variations of hbt pants: pre war spec first pattern (no hip pockets), 1942 spec second pattern (hip pockets, light color), 1943 spec second pattern (same as 42 spec but in OD7). The 43 spec went basically unchangend into the Korean war.
