Jul 31, 2021 · Yeah, Gintama Crunchyroll Dub episodes 266 - 316 is good as the sub (because English cast and crews do subs but fanatics pretend otherwise). Hulu dub is kinda awful because VAs rush through the entire episodes. If DVD season 1,2 &4 Dub comes out it will be the Crunchyroll Dub by Ocean group.

Sep 9, 2017 · The dub doesnt work well for gintama. There's too many characters and some of them sound too similar in the dub. Also, the distinctive personalities of these characters does not work well in the dub. For example, matsudaira is a completely different person when you compare his dub to his original voice actor.

Sep 7, 2020 · Gintama is the one of the Shounen anime that had weird history of their licensing and dubbing history And also as the one of the anime like Monogatari, Sayonara Zetsubou sensei, Showa Genroku Rakugo Shinju and Katanagatari that was taboo by purist and its too hard to translate, And luckily, Gintama getting dub in a different fashion :

Sub, Gintama has some of the best VAs plus the early dub from Hulu makes me want to rip my ears out, and the later one, while better is still very meh, I don’t like dubs in general tho, so I might be biased

Jul 1, 2020 · I've watched it. It's better than the Sentai dub, but that's a low bar. It's pretty bad, you can listen to samples yourself. Stick with the sub for Gintama. Consider watching the dub of the 2015 series since it's an actually great dub.

Dub 100%, the sub does none of the show justice if you don’t understand Japanese. The subtitles try, but can't capture the humor and chemistry of the dub cast. Fair warning, a good section of Gintama doesn't even have a dub.

Mar 26, 2022 · Ever since I've watched Gintama, I've loved the original Jap voices. I think the dub I like the most is the Fairy Tail dub, they got really good English voice actors. I need a list of the best and worst anime dubs. I've seen the Gintama dub and was so heartbroken with everyone's voices, they treated Gintama like it was a C-list anime :(

Furthermore, I feel that the cast had some of their best performances for this series, bringing the characters to life. The dub characters just feel off and less like real people. Excuse the rant I can't stand the dub of most anime especially one I love like Gintama - they usually bucher the characters and emotional aspects of the show.

The subbed for Gintama is superior in every way. The dubbed voice actors cannot compare to the legendary subbed actors who embody the characters. So, if you can watch the sub, then watch the sub.
