Kanjar Ro is a cunning strategist and wields advanced alien weaponry. He carries an Energi-Rod that allows him to fly and communicate through hyper-space, as well as a Gamma Gong which can paralyze others when struck.

When the Gamma Gong rings, it can paralyze the entire population of a planet. With the Energi-Rod, Kanjar can shoot laser blasts, create holographic copies of others and mimic telepathic communications.

The Gamma Gong is an alien device that resembles the musical instrument of the same name. However, its capacity is applied for a more offensive manner. When struck, it generates high intensity frequency. It is also one of the few weaknesses of the Blue Beetle (Jaime Reyes).
