The "hands free" option on my headphones is what I use in games for my microphone to work (this could be a separate issue that could be fixed I'm not sure), but I feel that if I disable this hands free option I will no longer be able to use my microphone.

Sep 22, 2022 · So I can't use the mixer on the Xbox: I can only hear both game audio and chatter on my headset. Then you would assume that the in-game chatter cannot be separated from the rest of the in-game sound. But the interesting thing is, when I play with a headset, I don't hear any game chat through the speakers. So in game audio is definitely separable.

May 13, 2021 · I know the issue is not with my controller or headset. I use a standard xbox one wireless controller that is plugged in using usb and a Hyperx gaming headset. My xbox says there was an update yesterday (May 12th) which included something called "passthrough audio" so maybe that has something to do with it. Any suggestions are welcomed. Thank you
