Mar 7, 2011 · The G8 was improved over the GTO big time, it was designed from Australia not the bastardize frankenstine GTO we got that has been remolded from a Opel Omega. There is a laundry list of improvements over the GTO because it was based off of a dated platform.

Aug 16, 2016 · I drive a G8. Love my car. But I went with the 4dr because I have a family. Either car is a great find. The interior in the G8 is nicer but the GTO is lighter and the LS2 puts out just a bit more power than the L76 but If you find a GXP for a decent price, that LS3 way outperforms the LS2. The other thing about the G8 is the drone.

Oct 1, 2011 · The price for the GTO is too high. A good deal in the 17-19k range. The G8's have not come down much in price, but you should still be able to seal the deal under their $24900 price. It also will be a better daily driver in the winter. The suspension on the G8 is better than the stock suspension on the GTO.

Feb 20, 2010 · G8 front clip would fail. Even if you spent all the time to fab everything up, the body lines of the GTO are not even close to the GTO. It would look horrible. As far as the G8 wheels, I can't belive more people don't do it because the G8 19s look great!

Apr 7, 2009 · Nope. Even though the wheels are the same size, and the lug pattern is the same, there are differences. GTO wheel studs are shorter and use smaller lugs. G8 hub rings are also a different size. With the right hub ring, you can put an 18" GTO wheel on a G8, but not the 17s. 17s will rub on the brake caliper on the G8. mac

Oct 6, 2022 · I need to put new strut mounts on my 2006 GTO but there are so many choices out there, which are some of the best lines out there to buy. Also if I'm doing the mounts what other items should I be looking to replace on the front end of the car? Car has 80,200 miles on it.

Aug 15, 2007 · The G8 GXP's rims are sexy as all hell. I don't know if the lug pattern and offset is the same though. I tried getting chrome oem Solistice GXP rims for my 06 a couple years back, but found out through the stealership that the bolts didn't match up.
