Abstract: This paper describes the theoretical performance of a frequency-hopping system using Gaussian-filtered FSK (GFSK), which is a promising candidate for 2.4-GHz wireless local area networks (WLAN).
BER vs SNR simulation for GFSK modulation (Closed-form BER for GFSK)
I'm in the process of simulating the performance of a GFSK modem in GNU Radio. I have managed to get a curve similar to the curves I see in a number of literature sources. However, I need an accurate baseline that can show how accurate (or far of) the performance is.
In this letter, we develop an optimized differential GFSK demodulator and investigate the phase wrapping issue in its implementation. Simulation results show bit-error-rate (BER) performance improvement in comparison with conventional dif-ferential demodulators in both AWGN and flat fading channels.
Bit Error Rate (BER) for frequency shift keying with coherent ...
Aug 30, 2007 · Following the request by Siti Naimah, this post discuss the bit error probability for coherent demodulation of binary Frequency Shift Keying (BFSK) along with a small Matlab code snippet.
GMSK (Gaussian Minimum Shift Keying) is a premodulation Gaussian filtered binary digital frequency modulation scheme with modulation index of 0.5. The following features make GMSK very suitable for digital cellular and wireless applications.
Gaussian baseband filtered frequency shift keying (GFSK) is an attractive modulation scheme for wireless communi-cations because of its constant envelope, compact spectrum, and flexible bandwidth-performance tradeoffs.
BER vs SNR curves for GFSK (×), π/4-DQPSK (.) and
In this section we analyze the performance achieved by various Bluetooth packet formats, in different cases, by using the bit error rate (BER) statistics and the reception event probabilities ...
Mar 20, 2021 · Abstract—In this work, a low intermediary frequency (low-IF) Gaussian Shift Keying (GFSK) modulator and two different architectures of demodulators are implemented in Python. The paper discusses the main differences between the discrete-time quadricorrelator and the FM-discriminator.
In this paper, we primarily investigate which noncoherent GFSK demodulator architecture, suitable for implementation on a field-programmable gate array (FPGA), has the lowest latency of demodulated bits, while considering BER performance secondary.
BER vs. SNR curves in case of the GFSK, π/4-DQPSK and 8DPSK …
In this paper, based on the preliminary results on packet transferring in Bluetooth Radio and Baseband layers, we study the packet transferring in the Bluetooth L2CAP layer in AWGN channel....
