Nov 20, 2020 · I think the new sensor is based on the Mercury sensor. It has a higher acceleration limit 30g vs 25g for prodigy. I tested it against my friend's Prodigy, found no difference.

Sep 15, 2019 · I got a G102/203 when they first came out at 6000dpi to mess around with and never had any "acceleration" issue before and after updating to 8000dpi rev. Sensor has been flawless until now. It's really such a great mouse for the price, if the shape agrees with you.

The G Pro Hero indeed has a better sensor, but you'll never be able to tell a difference, trust me. The only issue these mice have are their clicks, which I'd definitely recommend replacing.

Aug 3, 2023 · This new one appears to use a different sensor with a DIP package from what I can see through the scroll wheel gap. I noticed that the LOD is now a little higher and more jittery when it's near its limit. It's also now more bottom heavy.

Jul 1, 2023 · Logitech has quietly downgraded the sensor onboard the Logitech g102. It seems to no longer use a pcb based sensor as previously, but instead a red led illuminated 8 dip package sensor as found in it's cheaper mice like b100.
