Aug 14, 2024 · IDK what the Ford XL3 is, as Motorcraft only makes red paint and stickers BUT it works and works well. Transfer case fluid is dex3/Mercon. When dex3/Mercon was no longer recognized as a specification they shipped us at the dealers transfer case fluid as a replacement because at the time they did not recommend Mercon v for use in T cases.
