Dec 24, 2023 · Early on in the GT program several crankshafts were manufactured incorrectly and this flaw was known to cause a rear main seal leak. Ford believed that this engines would have gone into ~ the first 300 or so 2005 Ford GT's. So, if your GT is a 2005 with the last digits of the VIN <300, then you may have one of these engines.

Feb 14, 2008 · Ford F-150 piece installed into Ford GT fuel filler tube assembly. I sealed the piece with fuel sensor safe silicone. I was absolutely amazed that the Ford F-150 dimensions were identical to the Ford GT. The F-150 door location was exactly in the same position as the Ford GT's. Plus the installed insertion is exactly the same as the GT's.

I will NOT be comparing acceleration between the two cars because the GT is no longer stock.
