Those flashes are burning my eyes :'- ( Interestingly enough, in daylight, when testing sunset or bedtime mode via flux preferences, manual brightness adjustment via dedicated keys does not trigger flashing, but moving to a room with closed curtains is a surefire way to trigger it. Right now it's not that impactful, but soon I'll have it dimmed more and more, and having flux return to FULL NUCLEAR BRIGHTNESS WITHOUT WARNING OR TRANSITION PERIOD is extremely unpleasant.

Sep 19, 2017 · The color effect changes to a setting immediately that should help reduce eyestrain for long-term use of the computer (like all day). The preset is for what colors f.lux will use for all 3 modes (sunrise, sunset and bedtime). You don't have to use these. You can just manually adjust the color temperature if you wish.
