This is in a fairly large closet on the main floor of the house. I've never seen it before and FAU on Google only brings up Florida Atlantic University.

Aug 27, 2010 · My new house is two stories and 2500 sq. ft. The existing FAU is in a closet upstairs with the return air coming from downstairs. The return air travels through unfinished voids in the walls and second story floor to the bottom of the FAU.

Aug 9, 2010 · We are looking at floor plans of different houses, and some of them have the letters “FAU” near the hot water heater. Doesn’t really make sense for it to be a faucet, since it is in a closet. Any guesses (hopefully educated) are greatly appreciated.
