Sure we have more sun but the summer heatwaves ( 39 degrees last summer one day in Torrevieja) are actually quite scary. The only real advantage might be that income from UK will make the cost of living cheaper. Villa Martin is essentially a foreigner's Spain.

It is not a condition imposed by Salus. It applies to all insurance policies in Spain. Personally, I think it is a very good protection.
