Diamond (ダイヤモンド, Daiyamondo), also called Dia, is one of the Gems who mainly does patrol duty. Despite their high offensive power, their toughness is second rate and they're easily broken. The other Gems consider them lovely and a top fashion model.

Yellow Diamond (イエローダイヤモンド, Ierōdaiyamondo), often called simply Yellow, is one of the Gems who mainly participate in patrol duty. They are everyone's elder. They are one of the fastest, if not the fastest gem, and are partnered with Zircon at the beginning of the story.

Diamond is gentle and friendly to everyone. They have a special type of fighting, where they use the sides of their sword to reflect the Lunarian's arrows. While Phos tries to convince the gems to join them to the moon, Diamond confronts Phos and reveals their knowledge about Phos' facade.

In the distant future, a new immortal and genderless life form called Gems populate the Earth. The 28 Gems must fight against the Moon Dwellers, who attack them regularly to abduct them and to turn them into decorations.

Detecting Phos inside the snail, Diamond finds a weak point in its shell, allowing Bort to defeat it. Discovering that Phos supposedly has transformed into a small slug creature, Diamond tries to find a way to turn them back to normal, but finds little help from the other Lustrous.
