Jun 1, 2010 · I was almost certain that when the power is on that there is a green LED lit that you can see through a small clear window in the cover and when the service goes into interrupt, that a red LED lights. At this point NEITHER LED is lit. I came right in to call DTE and ask but of course it was 6:25 and the business office closes at 6:00.

Aug 16, 2012 · DTE is responsible for the maintaining service wire, but not any tree or branch problem, from pole to splice at house. I had to beg the trimming crew cutting along the mains from pole to pole to cut a branch laying on my wire. This is a tree 2 neigbors away. Then maybe a year later I see my line sparking and smoking from a branch rubbing on it.

The plan is to come out of the meter to a service disconnect box, then under ground to the barn using 4/0 aluminum direct burial cable. Jan 10, 2021 · DTE provided first 150ft for free from pole service. Neighbor just built and they ran a new pole fairly close to his home but put the last 100ft underground. Call consumers and ask to speak to someone in new construction department. You are likely going to have to cover some portion of the cost.

Apr 23, 2015 · DTE has a program that they recycle all used telephone/utility poles. They told me that they are out of poles for 2 weeks, but that they will have more. All other utility companies (BWL & Consumers) all indicate that they no longer sell them to outsiders.

Aug 26, 2019 · Installed a pool in my backyard 20 years ago. Needed my neighbors DTE power-line slid over out of my yard and back onto their property so the line was greater than 15ft from my pools edge. The cost then was $800.00 but because the lines were not mine they did it at no cost to me. The lines slid 30ft, 15ft from each side of the fence line. Good Luck

Mar 21, 2025 · It's owned by DTE, maintained (use that very loosely) by the city. Dock was underwater last year and in about July they moved several large concrete blocks in front of the ramp. I won't be surprised if it's permanently closed, but hope it's not.

Jan 12, 2009 · Gina, Gillings Landscape did the first pond. They did all the water features at DTE Energy and used the same rock, they do really good work. It ended up too small (a friend of mine moved and gave me a bunch of koi), along with the fact that the koi reproduced pretty quickly.
