Dec 2, 2004 · The seven megapixel four times zoom DSC-V3 was announced on 30th August 2004. It's the first 'prosumer' level compact digital camera from Sony since 24th February 2003 when they announced the five megapixel four times zoom DSC-V1.

Aug 30, 2004 · Sony today announced the sucessor to the DSC-V1, the seven megapixel four times optical zoom DSC-V3. This camera is noticeably larger than the DSC-V1, has a black body and a 'proper' hand grip. Changes include a huge 2.5" LCD monitor, RAW image format and a Compact Flash slot.

Aug 30, 2004 · Comprei essa câmera pouco depois do seu lançamento em meados de 2006, antes dela tinha a dsc-v1, essa câmera tem várias vantagens em relação a v1, velocidade de recuperação da bateria para novo disparo, visor maior, mais zoom óptico, mais qualidade final de imagem, grip e outros.

Nov 8, 2004 · In fact, it appears that most of the early panic about PF and noise in the V3 is overstated and not the 'serious flaws' that people, desperate to find something 'wrong' with the V3, were claiming. Is the V3 the 'perfect' camera?

Sep 5, 2005 · The V3 adds 2MP and CF capability. But it is a little bit bulkier. The V1 is really pocketable (but you need a spare battery...). Lenses are same, pic quality quite similar. Other nice features like hot shoe, nightshot and remote controllability are same too.
