Nov 20, 2021 · The Crown should have plenty of power. Obviously, note that the Hypex plate amp is just a single channel (there are dual versions as well, just not 2x500W). SINAD-wise, the Hypex will be much better, but as noted before, for a sub, you will not notice. The Crown DSP is also way more limited than the Hypex one.

Oct 7, 2020 · Because of local conditions I have picked up four Crown pro amps which have DSP on their inputs which can be used to implement crossover functions too. I think they are CDi 600 and one 1200 for the wooofers , but I haven't hooked them up yet. The have analog inputs but control of them is ethernet based.
