CPKC is the combination of two historic railways – Canadian Pacific (CP) and Kansas City Southern (KCS). Today, we are CPKC and have created the first and only transnational rail network in North America.

CPKC operates 24 hours per day and 7 days per week. Facilities receive service on scheduled service days, the frequency and timing of which depend on local operating factors and are subject to change. CPKC’s core service includes one switch per service day.

CPKC offers a large fleet of intermodal equipment. Our intermodal railcars accommodate a wide range of container types and sizes, including 53’ containers, 20’ and 40’ marine containers and temperature-controlled protective equipment for perishable products.

Mar 11, 2025 · Patriot Rail Company, a premier U.S. operator of short line and regional freight railroads, transloading and other rail services, is pleased to announce that it will, together with Canadian Pacific Kansas City (CPKC), establish a new multi-commodity transload facility on CPKC’s network in Denton, Texas.

CPKC has recently made some adjustments (again) to a hand full of trains. See below: For a very short time, all 4 of the trains above originated and terminated in Shreveport. That is no longer the case due to Kansas City having a meltdown with the influx of traffic.
