Oct 2, 2005 · Not totally addicted, but like it very much, especially the most traditional and folk part, as candomble. I had the chance to particiapte to a stage with Gilson Silveira, a great brazilian percussionist living in Italy - which was very exciting.

May 13, 2006 · Let me tell you my friend. I have both a set of Classics and Matadors and the differences are minimal. I tour with my classics and leave the Matadors set up as a practice set and they both sound amazing.

Oct 24, 2004 · Ive used Matador Bongo's for the last 10 yrs. First thing I did however was replace the macho skin with an LP skin and I fitted an LP quinto skin to the hembra for extra loud and dry low pitch.

Oct 14, 2005 · Juan, I had the same problem. You may be playing like this already, but I find that using 'press strokes'- keeping the stick on the cascara until the next stroke is played with the other hand, will stop the ring and give a less bright sound.
