I suspect at the end of the packing line somewhere in asia, boxes labeled flannel go to low end stores that sell to construction workers and boxes labeled chamois, go to high end stores. Same shirt in many cases.

Aug 21, 2007 · my impression that moleskins are thick and soft, very much like an LL Bean chamois cloth cotton shirt, suitable as a dressier pair of pants for wide-wale corduroy weather (please correct me if this is wrong). Bill's Chamois Cloth, however seems to be a thinner material than what is used on regular Bill's Khakis (8.5-oz twill versus 6+oz twill).

Mar 17, 2009 · Moleskins are quite thick and lose their colour easily because of this.They get creases that don't really change postion ( from wear in crotch, centre crease, crease from washing in small machine without much movement etc)....the creases stick out and wear off the fabric giving it a faded look.If washed in too small a machine you'll get a marbled looking disaster.
